Since 1910, Faribault Golf & Country Club has been open for play, and in 1956 Interlachen golf professional Willie Kidd designed the front nine-hole course, and Bob Carlson designed the back nine holes in 1966 where you can find the course today.

This historic course has always been a key part of Minnesota golf, hosting the annual Minnesota PGA Pro-Am Tournament. They are proud to have hosted other prominent golf outings, such as the 1970 Minnesota State Open, the 1984 U.S. Golf Association Open, and the 1991 MGA Mid-Amateur. The classic game of golf has always been rooted in this beautiful, scenic course. Southern Minnesotans find this course to be a fun challenge for new and old players with its unique course design, the best golf amenities, and the staff’s passion for the game.

Faribault Golf & Country Club was instrumental in the founding and establishment of the Minnesota Golf Association along with the Winona Country Club, Town and Country, the Minikahda Club, Rochester Golf & Country Club, Bryn Mawr and Merion Park. Since 1970, Faribault has also hosted the annual Minnesota PGA Pro-Am Tournament.

Over the past 3 years FGC has invested $800,000 in course improvements with all new bunkers, several new tee boxes, pond expansion, and drainage to enhance the experience.

The real star of the show at Faribault Golf Club is the unique course design, which manages to both challenge seasoned players while helping newcomers relax and enjoy learning this classic game. Our course is carved into the scenic, rolling hills of the open spaces in Faribault, Minnesota. It’s a picturesque course that smells of pine and regularly treats visitors to views of wildlife as they work to conquer our course.

But Faribault Golf Club is more than just a top choice for a round of golf. It’s also a great venue for hosting the special days in your life, from a family reunion to an important corporate meeting to a fairy tale wedding.

The Golf Shop at the course offers a full range of products and services. Jon Vee, the PGA Head Golf Professional, is ready to get your game in shape for the season.
